The safety and security of children is our paramount concern. For this very reason we strive to create a safe and secure learning environment where children feel welcome and
stimulated from the moment they step through the door. We aim to give children the best start in life so that they can develop to their full potential by the time they are ready to go to school.
We provide opportunities and activities for children under the revised “Early Years Foundation Stage” Framework, which states that each child is unique and has an individual personality which must be taken into account when building their confidence and self-esteem.
We work and build on what a child CAN DO rather than what they percieve they are unable to achieve. This creates a feel good factor in the children and simultaneously promotes their self-confidence and self-awareness.
We provide a stimulating and an inclusive curriculum that is accessible to all the children.
Each child is assigned a key person when they start the nursery. This reassures the child and makes them feel welcome and special. It also allows the nursery staff to build a strong and a positive relationship with each child enabling the children to become confident and self-starters.
Children learn and develop in different ways and at different rates. At Tinytots nurseries we use fun and a play based approach for supporting the learning and development for the early years. Each child’s key person will carry out regular observations to ensure that we are meeting the child’s learning and developmental needs and to establish child’s own areas of interest. This enables us to tailor the curriculum around your child’s specific needs and interests.
We thoroughly cover all the seven areas of learning as stipulated by the EYFS.
• Communication and Language
• Physical Development
• Personal, Social and Emotional Development
• Understanding the world
• Expressive arts and design
We have been awarded “GOOD” by Ofsted at both the branches.
We hope to see you and your child at Tinytots.
We work closely with the Lambeth Council Early Years Team, helping your child develop through the years.
(Early Years Professional Status)
Tiny Tots was established in 1997 as a childrens day care nursery to provide child care to the local children. We have two branches, one on Eardley Road, which is a 2 minute walk from Streatham Common Station. The other branch is situated on Braeside Road just off Streatham Vale. Both nurseries are in the Lambeth borough SW16 and are also very close to Norbury and Mitcham.
The Tiny Tots nurseries operate as children day care settings. We are registered to cater for children from birth to the age of five (0 to 5 year olds).
As nursery owners and working parents ourselves, we understand how important it is to find the very best childcare possible for your child, allowing you to return to work with the knowledge and peace of mind that your child is being cared for in a safe, secure and a loving environment by qualified and experienced staff.
